so I was thinking about
how the Millennials, Xennials, Xers
and whoever comes nexters
were fighting with the Boomers
or is that just in Australia
and I wondered if
it was a media beat-up
a political stunt
to distract
from the real issues of inequality
and then I thought
or
is it as old as time
for the younger gen
to fight
against the ancient ones
wanting to usurp and change?
I think everything is a fucking distraction from the challenge of climate change! My poor 17 yr old son can’t BELIEVE the politicians aren’t making better choices for him and his generation…
Yeah, it’s depressing :/

Your post was poignant. I try to bear in mind generational differences before I go off on the younger folks. I don’t want to start a conversation with “When I was your age” or “Back in my day, we….” 🙂
I think it’s a little bit of both, and it happens over here in the States too.
